We are a group of professionals who specialize in helping people with social-cognitive challenges such as autism spectrum disorders (ASD) , attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), and non-verbal learning disability (NVLD/NLD) to live richer, fuller, and more connected lives. We work with people of all ages: children, pre-teens, teenagers, young adults transitioning from school into work, and older adults.

People with these conditions often have a hard time “getting” what other people are thinking and feeling. They struggle with relationships and with forming and maintaining friendships; as a result, their social world becomes smaller and smaller. Many of our clients are great rote learners, who struggle with the complexities of fast-moving work and school environments. Our mission is to help these individuals improve their social thinking, build and strengthen relationships with others, and become more able to deal effectively and flexibly with life's challenges, leading to greater success in school, work, and independent living. We achieve these goals through a range of both innovative and evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, structured social groups and activity-based clubs, career counseling, peer mentorship, and theater arts. We also have a camp for kids known as One in a Hundred Summer Camp based in Highland Park, IL.

Our work with each client is informed by an in-depth evaluation of their needs, strengths, goals and interests. We recognize that each of the children, teens, and adults we serve are individuals, and we tailor our approaches to be as unique as they are.
